    What we do

help with separation

We are open to help individuals, couples and familes affected by divorce online,

We offer a consultation service to support you in going through this process, overcoming the emotional difficulties associated with it and developing the confidence to rebuild your life.

How it works

The Separation and Divorce Service is for couples or individuals prior to, during, or following separation, divorce, or civil partnership dissolution. This service is aimed at couples or individuals.

The service offers a focused opportunity to think about your individual situation. The aim is to help both individuals and couples think about their current struggles with the overall aim of fostering development for all concerned. You will see one of our experienced couple psychotherapists or relationship coun-sellors who specialise in this area. The service is not mediation.

How can the Separation and Divorce service help?

The reasons for separating, divorcing or dissolving a civil partnership are many, and the process itself can be painful and complicated. Our experience suggests that when facing such a crisis people can be helped by an opportunity to make sense of their emotional state.

Fees for the Separation and Divorce service

Sessions within our DSCS service are available at our Standard rate fee of £100/£120 or the Higher rate fee of £150/£180.

All therapists working in the DSCS are qualified and have undertaken further specialist training in this area.  TR offers some work at higher rates that reflect the training and experience of the therapists providing the services.  Sessions offered for high demand times attract a higher rate.

Special Project - Reducing the impact of parents' protracted disputes on children’s mental health

Tavistock Relationships and Fitzrovia Youth in Action have been funded by BBC Children in Need to deliver therapeutic support to parents involved in disputes and also a peer mentoring to the children of those parents. The project aims to help improve outcomes for children, via a combination of these two elements.
