Tavistock Relationships - Supporting Couples, Families and Individuals Since 1948

Who we are

Tavistock Relationships has been helping individuals, couples and families since 1948, and now provides more than 20,000 therapy sessions to individuals and couples every year, online and in person.

It is a leading authority on couple psychotherapy, undertaking research, providing training and delivering programmes (including the Government’s Reducing Parental Conflict programme) to support couples and families experiencing relationship difficulties.

A leading authority on couple psychotherapy

The charity researches, develops, pilots and raises awareness of best practice, providing services to couples and families, and disseminates its learning through academic and policy activities.

Our training programmes in couple and sex therapy range from introductory up to clinical qualification level and are accredited by bodies including The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and The British Psychoanalytic Council. We also train NHS practitioners in the NICE-recommended talking therapy Couple Therapy for Depression.
