Honor Rhodes OBE, Director of Strategy and Development at Tavistock Relationships, explains how our digital interventions can help local authorities working with parents in conflict.
Digital online platforms have become an integral part of our lives and are an excellent way for local authorities to engage parents experiencing conflict. In the last two years we have developed two innovative digital platforms to reach a wider audiences - an app called ‘Between Us’ and an online tool called ‘Better Conversations’.
We know that it can be difficult to understand what’s going wrong in a relationship, so the app offers tools to understand why but also suggests helpful tips for what can be done.
Between Us is designed to help parents have a better relationship with their partner or ex‑partner, and provide information and advice to reduce conflict. We know that it can be difficult to understand what’s going wrong in a relationship, so the app offers tools to understand why but also suggests helpful tips for what can be done.
We can brand content using your chosen logo and tailor the app to suit your local needs. For example, by adapting the content for the specific needs of the families you’re working alongside.
Better Conversations ... provides parents with a real time experience of a difficult conversation and is designed to encourage less conflicted conversations.
Better Conversations is an online, role-play tool that can be used on a PC or smart phone. It provides parents with a real time experience of a difficult conversation and is designed to encourage less conflicted conversations with their partner or ex-partner. The tool offers explanations and advice as to how the responses parents choose can increase or decrease tension, to enable better conversations.
As the DWP deadline for Reducing Parental Conflict grants approaches, please join us on Friday April 29 at 10.30 for a demonstration of the digital tools we have developed to support local authorities working with parents in conflict.
