Bringing new life into the world is often a momentous and joyous moment, however, the transition to parenthood can be fraught with unforeseen challenges which throw parents into turmoil.

For many couples having a baby is central to their relationship but it can bring struggles including post-natal depression, baby blues, sleepless nights and feeding difficulties. Individuals and couples might also find it difficult to bond with their baby as well as experiencing feelings of isolation and inadequacy. At the same time, as they navigate their way as parents, couples can discover that a having a baby creates difficulties in their own relationship.

We work with Couples and their babies, starting with pregnancy through our Couple and Infant Service. We have trained couple and infant psychotherapists who support couples with all the issues new parents can face. Our aim is to help each parent develop a bond with the infant while developing as co-parents and maintaining their couple relationship.

If you think your family could benefit from this support, you can book an initial consultation with a specialist therapist by calling 020 7380 1960 or find more information on our website.
