TRAPC - Alumni Association

What is TRAPC?

The Tavistock Relationships Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors (TRAPC) is the professional home for TR graduates and for esteemed honorary and international members who have demonstrated a commitment to furthering the profession of couple psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy. It is a constituent part of the British Psychoanalytic Council and is the body through which psychoanalytic members become registrants of the BPC. Membership is open to TR graduates of courses with BACP, BPC or COSRT accreditation.

Tavistock Relationships trains the next generation of couple therapists and provides clinical services to individuals, couples and parents, face to face (in London) and online, providing a range of affordable services to help people with relationship difficulties, sexual problems and parenting challenges.

In addition, TR undertakes research, service development and policy activities which encourage the development and growth of effective and innovative relationship support interventions. TRAPC is a community of practice for members who wish to share knowledge, information, and best practice relating to couple therapy (see further below for more details of TRAPC membership benefits).
