A new professional learning platform, for people working across the field of mental health.

Tavistock Relationships has launched a new continuing professional development (CPD) programme called TR Together, highlighting the importance of peer relationships and learning in community to support the development of skills, confidence and professional growth of psychotherapists.

In an increasingly siloed and digital world, TR Together will foster a sense of togetherness among practitioners and promote shared learning experiences. The new programme, suitable for people working right across the field of mental health, will build a close-knit collaborative community where professionals will be encouraged to share their experiences, seek support and engage in nurturing relationships with like-minded peers.

TR Together events will equip practitioners with the knowledge and understanding required for real-world application by contextualising new and established therapeutic concepts within today’s complex societal landscape. There will be in-depth discussions on new topics, disseminating original ideas to ensure practitioners stay up-to-date with the latest developments. And, acknowledging that therapeutic work is inherently complex and challenging, TR Together events will take a depth-focused approach to enhance practitioner’s capacity to work with difficult case material.

Alice Waterfall heads up TR Together. Alice brings with her extensive experience having been Content Director at Confer and trained in couple and individual psychodynamic psychotherapy with Tavistock Relationships.

Alice says: “We are planning an exciting programme of events across the year, beginning with our Autumn Season which will kick off in November. All our learning opportunities are designed to facilitate professional growth and we hope that by enabling peer relationships, we will create a lasting and positive change both within the field of psychotherapy, and for the people our practitioners are supporting.”

Autumn events include ‘Working with the Impact of Neglect’ with Anne Alvarez and Graham Music online on 4 November and ‘An evening with Julia Samuel and her Psychotherapist daughters Emily and Sophie’ in-person at the Freud Museum London on 7 December.
