This training provides a comprehensive understanding of psychodynamic theory and techniques as they relate to the adult couple relationship and builds on and deepens the trainee's existing clinical experience. Clinical work with couples is provided through the Tavistock Relationships' clinical service.

The qualification leads to registration with the British Psychoanalytic Council (accreditation pending). The member organisations of the BPC are those with the most rigorous selection and training standards in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy in the UK.
